First let me say I am not a doctor, or an expert in nutrition, and I’m not a scientist. I am someone who struggled with weight gain, joint pain, hormonal imbalances, reflux…you get the point. I fired my doctor, hired a nutritionist and a personal trainer. A year later, I weigh what I did in my 20’s. My joint pain and ALL of my other ailments and imbalances are gone. My approach towards life is Samata or balance.
My goal in starting this blog was to gather information from the experts and put it together in a clear and concise format. I will include recipes, articles, scientific studies, and a forum to discuss a more natural approach to health and wellness. I believe that there are alternatives to traditional western medicine, and certainly to the western diet. I believe there is healing in raw, organic, whole foods. I am a vegan because I care about my health, our planet, and all of its living, breathing creatures. And because of these beliefs that I hold truly, madly, deeply, my family and I are on a journey to make ourselves and our world the best they can be. I hope you will enjoy my blog. And maybe learn a few things along the way.
